Hot on the heels of the podcast I did recently, Steve Ward, host of the High Strangeness Factor show, contacted me to do another interview for him. I was happy to do that and the audio can be found here. Steve's show has a more paranormal bent to it and I reckoned I would take a different route to the previous talk which was more wide ranging and generic.
Therefore, this podcast focuses on the paranormal, supernatural and mythical aspects of the Loch Ness Monster, from its days as a Celtic water spirit to the notorious Water Horse of the Highlanders and onto the modern thoughts on how these may apply to the current cryptid. Naturally people like Ted Holiday, Tim Dinsdale, Erik Beckjord and so will be mentioned.
Click on and enjoy the talk, comment welcome below.

Another good one in the can. The ending conversation pretty much sums it up: "We don't know what a Nessie is." But in keeping with the paranormal theme, the Cosmic Joker does! And leprechauns and goblins are driving UFOs! LOL
ReplyDeleteJohn whats your email? Inhave some close up photos of a lake monster ill send you.And you can forward to glasgow boy.
DeleteThis was good, more like how someone like John Keel would have seen Nessie!
DeleteDear unknown, GBs email is listed above. Send them to him. If they are of any interest he'll post them here.

DeleteThe "Cosmic Joker" I believes goes back to Charles Fort a century ago. Keel and others may have picked up on it. One would have thought an entity as powerful as that would have progressed beyond what appears to be infantile and pointless behaviour.
DeleteLOL! Yeah. If we are to assume that this "Joker/Trickster" in some way also has a hand in creating and influencing our reality and is responsible for all manner of anomalous Fortean manifestations i.e. the absurdity of interactions with UFO related beings, poltergeist activity, crop circles, the myriad of cryptids to include Chupacabra, Thunderbird and Mothman, and maybe Bigfoot sightings, a very naughty, mischievous, immature, superior entity it is. It would seem that in some cases it is also capable of displaying hostile and malevolent intent. I say "it" unless we are also to ascribe anthropomorphic qualities to it. Maybe“it” is one of many entities in a panoply of God/Creators beings who never grew up and is living in his moms basement tinkering with the cosmos and delighting in messing with our mere insignificant mortal human minds. Perhaps Fort was right when he surmised that “We are property!”
DeleteThink that we have a combo package of real animals such as nessie and Bigfoot , and then paranormal creatures such as aliens, Dogman, mothman etc, as those to me more in realm of demonic!
