I will be appearing on the well known chat show Coast To Coast AM this coming Thursday night through Friday morning. Naturally, the subject of my slot will be the Loch Ness Monster with the focus on land sightings, the recent eDNA news and doubtless a host of other topics. It will be a live show and callers will be invited to call in and ask their questions. Perhaps some of the regular readers of this blog, be they for or against a bona fide monster will wish to call in with their own questions?
The interview will begin at 8am my time, which will be British Summer Time here in the UK and you can calculate your local time accordingly. Further details can be had at this link.

Mr Watson, I understand the Coast to Coast station to be American. I'd be fascinated to hear the programme but I'm based in the UK. Will there be any method available for myself and other Brits to catch this event? Thank you.
ReplyDeleteI will endeavour to post a link, now that it is done.
DeleteI don't know that “they” will let you Roland. You would probably have to pay a fee. Same with readers of this blog, they will have to pay a fee for any archived shows on the Coast to Coast website. Coast to Coast has a channel on YouTube with selected segments (COAST TO COAST AM OFFICIAL) of their 4 hour show, but don't expect your interview to be available just yet, if ever.
DeleteOccasionally on the Coast to Coast website they will allow one to hear free audio on selected show segments, again don't expect that to happen anytime soon. Maybe you can work something out with them. There was, until recently a channel on YouTube that posted complete show audio the following day for the longest time. I can't find it any more. The powers that be probably got wind of it and politely told such individual to cease and desist. Copyright infringement and all that.
Ah, I see that now. Oh well, there is always this:

Awesome news! That is a big deal, I know many fans of Coast to Coast AM. You will be heard by a large audience, cheers!
ReplyDeleteDear Roland, will we in the UK be able to hear the broadcast? I would very much like to.
ReplyDeleteIt's too early for me... unless I'm still awake from the night before! But I'll try and tune in and hopefully they'll put it up in a podcast.
ReplyDeleteJust finished hearing your interview at 1:30am my time. The last caller Pascual I believe his name was. He was the one that tried to contact you on Twitter. Anyway he stated that back in 1991 he saw the LNM out of the water and that he had a picture? Very interesting if he did and why would he wait all this time to reveal his tale. Any plans on following up on it.
ReplyDeleteYes, strange one that and I didn't have the chance to ask him some questions. He can contact me on lochnesskelpie@gmail.com
DeleteSorry I missed it Roland. How did it go and can I listen to it anywhere?
ReplyDeleteListening to the podcast now. Good stuff. Disagree with you about the modern Johnson and Grey photos - both are fakes or misidentification imho. The Johnson one looks like a cartoon to my eyes - even the water displacement looks like a pixelated drawing. BUT if you're deeply convinced I'll re-evaluate soon and take a second look.
ReplyDeleteI know you love the High Grey pic but it's just so bizarre to me. I've never completely ruled it out but it never really won me over either. I'll look again though soon I promise! ;)
PS it's funny and refreshing hearing someone soooo Scottish on an American radio show.
Where did you find it? I would like to listen to it again. Please post a link. No kidding, Roland's accent is as Scottish as Scottish can be.:)
DeleteListened to the whole show. Great stuff. I probably knew about 90% of it in fairly intimate detail but it was a great recap and very cool to hear what your favourite pieces of evidence and ideas for the future are.
ReplyDeleteYour take on the entire phenomenon is very level headed and you talk intelligently about aspects, ideas and people whom I know you disagree and with respect too. I thought it was a very good show. Congrats.
Btw You should make ALL your blogs in long form podcasts! Or put three or four together at a time or something? Eminently listenable to
