Forthcoming Talk on the Loch Ness Monster

I will be giving a talk on the F. C. Adams photograph at the Edinburgh Fortean Society on Tuesday 9th June at 7:30pm. Whatever you may think of this picture, my talk will reveal new information and analysis concerning it. I will also consider the investigative tools and techniques that encompass such a subject.

Comments should be limited to the talk rather than the nature of the photograph as I will publish the details of the talk after it has been given. The venue for the talk is Downstairs in the Crypt Bar at the Jekyll and Hyde Pub, 112 Hanover Street, EH2 1DR.

  1. Hey GB, I wish we could see that on YouTube later. I know you have given talks there before, but a search only comes up with an interview with founder Gordon Rutter. Oh well, I guess we'll just have to settle for your full report here. Here's Gordon on YouTube:

Hmm...he says he's interested in The Loch Ness Monster, but doesn't believe in it. Typical skeptic :-)

    1. Sam, we occassionally get someone coming on making big claims. There are plenty of boats already on the loch with sonar who will be there longer than Daz, would you care to share this information with them too?

    2. Hello Glasgow Boy. I know their breeding ground and they breed early June. Pm me and I will send details for other boats.

    3. Breeding ground he says. Would that be in the cave under Urquhart Castle? Sounds like Sam has been watching too many LNM movies :-)

    6. Well, why don't you show us your sonar results? There are plenty of people here who believe in a large creature in Loch Ness and would like to see your results.

Email the pictures and your identity to lochnesskelpie@gmail.com and we'll take it from there.

    11. Seems like Sam (Sonar) has dropped off the radar. You told him to put up or shut up, and apparently he has. Probably just a prankster.

    12. Maybe, all he has to do is email me .....

  6. Daz, ignore the coward copying me. I can help you. I have worked on Loch Ness with sonar for a number of years and there is one area of the Loch I keep getting large hits. Good luck with your project and let me know if you need my help.

    1. Sam can you narrow it down to which part of the loch? North end or south ? Ta

    2. Very near the McDorlan sighting in 78. Search that area and youll get hits galore youll see.

    3. Sam, I still await your sonar images and I see no mention of a McDorlan 1978 sighting in my sightings spreadsheet. Of course, that does not mean it does not exist, but can you point me to a source for this sighting?

  7. BTW Daz, be careful with your boat. There are hazardous areas such as Johnnies Point with its underwater rocks just off the Invermoriston Bay. Buoys will mark areas to avoid, but stick to the rules and maps and you will be okay.

  8. As a regular viewer of this blog it's become clear that the subject attracts many hoaxers. I've read many promises of information undelivered over the last few years. I don't understand the motive. Most peculiar.
