This is the stuff that makes oral history so fascinating, convoluted, and just wonderful to contemplate.
Steve Plambeckhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09651489411808346005noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-358999656752738469.post-86006624820635847362013-02-20T06:08:51.115-08:002013-02-20T06:08:51.115-08:00I do think there is a creature in Loch Morar, pres...I do think there is a creature in Loch Morar, presumably the same species as Nessie (two different cryptids seems a stretch to me).

Truth be told, I am not entirely sure I have ever been to Loch Morar!

Glasgow Boyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03597014995112568086noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-358999656752738469.post-58487081955930270902013-02-20T05:39:23.514-08:002013-02-20T05:39:23.514-08:00What are your thoughts on Mhorag? I didn't read all of it as I didn't have the time, but I noticed that the way he referred to the "creature" was as if its existence was a foregone conclusion. He also mentioned the fact that sightings weren't reported as locals didn't want publicity or ridicule, but that they were forthcoming with information as long as publicity didn't follow.
I thought this was curious given his somewhat sceptical stance now.....(or maybe he's more convinced of Morag's existence than Nessie's!?!).
Just an observation, nothing more.... Sonar was little more than a depth sensor, and had a very poor display, so difficult to say with any certainty what it was, could of course be false echos. bottom was about 95 meters, which ties in with OS data and at about half depth there was a constant large echo for a good 10 minutes, Boat was moving at a fast walking pace.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
